I squeal like a fangirl everytime I listen to this. If you're a Teknoman fan in the US, this is the voice of David A. Thomas Jr, the AUS/UK dub Blade. Everything he says makes me gush, squeal and crave chocolate-dipped strawberries...up until "The siren's call is all you hear". Apparently a Japanese artist, Reona Ueda wanted to create a collaborative artistic website to showcase post-modern contemporary art and asked David to contribute with a piece of voice-art. I think his idea was to be ironic about the use of voice in marketing, what are your thoughts?
I couldn't believe I finally found info about him online, I'd been hitting Google for years and all of a sudden...first his artistic website and his voice over website - he's an artist who does voice overs here and there just for cash. What a spin out! I don't instantly recognise him in his work for commercials (except that Gatorade ad), but when he's in an interview...it's Blade!!!!!
I'm always curious to see what those voices look like, check him out here, and here *chuckle* I can see a bit of D-boy in him ;) Check out Kerrigan Mahan's (Ringo)site to see what he looks like, it's so strange but awesome to see what they look like.
I'm such a voice geek...back in the glory days (aka, before Pokemon killed off good plots and characters) I'd be pointing out Kerrigan Mahan, Barbara Goodson, Richard Epcar, Tony Oliver, Wendy Lee, oh there are so many...but you get the point. Kerrigan (AUS Teknoman's Ringo) also does a lot of work for commercials, it's so strange...you only think of voice acting, but that's only one part of the voice over world.
I'm inspired...David's voice is magic!

I remember finding this fantabulous artist through the Robotech fandom a few years ago...then found her again and begged her to take a few commissions for me. I'm working on a Robotech NextGen fanfic for her...to keep bribing her gifted hands hehe ;)

Anybody out there?
Yes, hello, I'm alive!!!! I've been in the wilderness for a while, nothing too exciting...just living inner city and having a ball, working my @$$ off and pretending to study along the way (hehe). As usual, my fanfiction has paid the price of my social life but as soon as I'm settled back into a normal routine, I'll get it back on track.
I have the internet back on *squeeeeeeeeeeee* and I can't believe I survived so long without a regular connection. Within three days of being reconnected, I found two of the what must be the most elusive doujinshi ever produced. I may be over dramatising that a touch, but any Tekkaman Blade fan would agree with me. I swear I'll go bloody bonkers if I don't get my hands on them. Either way, I'm sure you'll know in a few days ;) If I am successful, I'll consider it to be a major YIPPEE for long-sufferng Tekkaman Blade fans (if they've stuck around *sniffle*) and am sure it'll be a major source of inspiration for me *evil grin*
Anyway, onto the @&#$@#&(@#!!!! of my subject heading. Moving has got to be the worst of any human invention. Why do we move? Better yet, why do greedy landlords put rent up three-fold in the space of a year? When I moved into my beautiful apartment, I was only paying $260 a fortnight. The lease was renewed two months after that and it went up to $300, which miffed me a bit but I got a blankie and moved on ;P Zoom to September 2007 and my roomie decides she wants to get serious about her boyfriend (who proposed last week) and move in with him. I swear I could hear our landlord giggling from his/her ivory tower in home-ownership land - if I wanted to remain where I was, the rent was going up to $450. So, RIP fabulous city apartment...it sure was fun while it lasted.
I could ramble on about the election sledges about the 'renting crisis and land/home affordability', but what's the point? So, I'm going back home...but that's not the @*#$*T*@#!!! The @*%)*(_@!!!! is in regards to the frigging weather!!!!!!!!!!! It's p*ssing down outside and the bloody forcast said clear skies this weekend, so I didn't book a mini-mover! That's ok, I'm about to head off to Mitre10 to buy a taupoline and stuff to protect my mattress (yippee, more damn money). Will this torture never end? Lucky my bank decided to reward me with an increase on my credit card.
*sigh* Ahh, less than a week online again and my rambling posts make even less sense than they did before. Sorry readers!
Speaking of reading, I finished reading 'Two of Me' - the Andrew Johns autobiography. All I can say is what a brilliant book it was and how brave it was of him to expose his bipolar disorder. It takes a lot for an Aussie bloke to admit he's not well, and the stigma attached to mental illness is awful - so I'm glad one of our sporting greats has come clean and I wish him nothing but success and happiness in his life after football.

The OC has been axed...NOOOOOOOO! Season 4 has been fantastic - ever since Marissa bit the dust, the show's been great!! I was sat of sick of her, she was so overrated, and now...now...
Damn it, this sucks!!
Ah well, at least they're going out on a high...with entertaining and interesting storylines. *sniff* Long live Ryan Attwood and his handsome self, may he go on to have an awesome career!
In other news, I am officially p*ssed at Officeworks. I bought a studydesk for my new place - before Christmas - and it still hasn't arrived. They are so, totally, reimbursing me the 'big and bulky' fee for delivering furniture...because, I'll tell you why because!! They promise next day delivery in the metropolitan area and I'm in the freaking metropolitan area! I have a f*cking life and can't sit around on my @$$ all day waiting for a desk that will arrive anytime between 9 to 5! Oh, and no, I can't request a delivery time because Officeworks have no control over their delivery guys.

Yes, I'm still alive and kicking, unlike my buddy Steve Irwin (RIP mate!). So sad...
Anyway um...yeah, uni's being a b*tch - why has my studyload doubled this semester?? Not fair! I'm having a crisis of faith...I know I want to teach, but am starting to think I might be a little bored with primary school and should do high school. I dunno, I haven't had the time to myself to process and analyse it all. Time will tell. I'm in the process of my first prac - my first day at the school, two fires were lit...by a grade 3 and 5!!
Work's ok (but who can really tell?) and boytoy makes me smile.
Hope all my lovelies are having fun!

Anyway, I'm 75% of the way through this blasted assignment. I'm not going to bed until it's done, because I've got to work on the other one tomorrow after gym. *Bangs head against desk* I know, I say it all the friggin' time...I'll never let anything knock me off my assessment plan ever again! Bring on the 27th, I'll be on holidays then...and will only have to worry about my new job >_<

What a day...
It started, surprisingly, with a really good sleep. I woke up feeling totally refreshed, relaxed and rejuvinated...so I should've known something was up!
Then, on the way home after the gym, I scratched a winning scratchy (ok, I have to go to work, but I won some money!).
Then...a job I'd applied for in March, given up for dead in May and resigned from the bank (my last day bing June 16)...they offered me the job and after much jumping up and down, and freaking out and many, many phone calls, I called my new boss back two hours later with a resounding YES THANK YOU! So wow, I've got an awesome new job!
Teehee!
Now, all I have to do is four assignments in two weeks...

It's one of those days...I just couldn't be bothered! Ah, yay for one more presentation down and our group surprisingly, received full marks (how in the WORLD did that happen??). Not that I'm complaining!
I found out my marks for Identity and Culture; I'm happy I passed, but disappointed I won't get the actual feedback until next week since I've got a conference on Thursday. Ah well.

I can't believe I forgot to mention this!
X-Men 3 - without spoiling it for everyone...I thought it was awesome and my only (well, not really) complaint was that it was too short. Ok, ok, the other complaint has to do with Phoenix: I was quite happy with the way they uh, introduced the Phoenix (I understand some sacrifices need to be made; comic can't translate directly into movie), but not with one particular characteristic that was missing in the movie. I don't want to spoil it, but die-hard X-men fans will know what I'm talking about.
Oh, one more whinge...but I am serious, I did enjoy the movie the most...Rogue's character! She's so whimpy! Ah well, I'll take Phoenix ^_^

GOOD STUFF
Uni's good, but keeping me busy. It just hit me that I've only got a couple of weeks left and I'm in a mild panic because of it. Yesterday was a sh*tty day, but got a call from my boytoy and that improved things a bit...but it still took me three hours to get to uni for a group meeting that no one but me showed up for ~_~ Good news, right, right. The best news of all...I've got a new job and I'm leaving the bank!!! *happy dance*backflip* It's awesome news and the 16th of June is the happy, happy, HAPPY day! I'll be working at the Uniting/Anglican school near uni in the after school care program three days a week. It means a paycut, but not by much so I can still survive ^_^
BAD STUFF
Mike at the gym hates me...ok, doesn't hate me...ah, nothing that a nice hot soak in the tub can't fix ^_^ Seriously though, doesn't anyone think that the situation in East Timor is sad? It's so sad to see how things are going over there, those poor people have seen enough damn violence to last a lifetime. It also means that my boytoy won't be home 'cuz he's off to join the efforts there. Sad for me, because it means our holiday can't happen now...but I've got nothing to complain about compared to the Timorese. Poor buggers, I hope everything calms down bloody quickly.

Yep, who would've thought it? Eh?
The stitches came out on Friday and apart from a tiny bit of the gum near a tooth looking a bit dodgy (stitches pulled it low), I'm further up that road of recovery.

I could be mistaken, but are my gums and cheeks healing already? Surely it's too soon...but maybe that's what the weird sensation in my mouth is now.
Yep, another restless night, woke up at midnight, took another painkiller, woke up an hour later, lay there for another half an hour before falling back asleep, then woke up at 4am. I figured that if I read, or jumped online, I'd get sleepy...
Ah well.
I knew I'd miss out on going to Church today, but still, I'm disappointed. Especially now since Mum's making up all kinds of excuses when she promised she'd go so she could tell me all about it. *sigh* Ah well, such is life. At least the sermon's are taped!
I just want to sleep! Why can't I sleep?! I can sleep through anything, I get a headache, I go to sleep and wake up fine. WHY CAN'T I SLEEP?!
